It’s a given that home buyers increasingly start the search for their home on the Internet.
Recently our company's President, Lane Hornung, had an interview with John Rebchook of InsideRealEstateNews.com about this phenomenon.
There are so many resources for home buyers to browse the homes available without ever stepping into a REALTOR's office. But is that sufficient? Can a home buyer research everything they need to make their real estate decision by the information that is available?
In the interview Lane Hornung answered that it isn't enough, but rather:
"If anything, with so much information available and flowing, the Realtor will be more important than ever. All of this information doesn’t eliminate the need for the Realtor. The Realtor needs to be there so the consumer can make an informed decision. A Realtor who specializes in, who lives and breathes a given neighborhood, who knows the history, the trends, the individual houses and their story, can provide invaluable knowledge to a home buyer or seller. They are a community asset, a market maker, and a repository of knowledge."
This creates a demand from real estate consumers to have local agents and local experts. No longer is it appropriate for an agent to say that they are an expert in all homes from Thornton to Parker.
8z Real Estate recognizes this, as: "8z empowers you with powerful online tools and unprecedented market data. We see buying or selling real estate from your perspective. We listen to you, understand your needs, and then partner with you as market experts to help you accomplish your real estate goals and dreams."
One way to provide the market data is through the statistics on our search site COhomefinder.com. As well as our Colorado neighborhood pulse websites. Take a browse and let us know if you need the help from a local REALTOR in Colorado.
